This post is for Matthew.
I wanted to write a little bit about him because I think he often gets overlooked for everything he does and who he is. And he never ever has read our blog, so I'm not worried about him seeing this anyway. And I probably won't ever tell him either.
First though, a few interesting things about him
He sang in Men's Chorus at BYU.
He was valedictorian of his high school.
He served a mission in the French Caribbean.
He ran a scout camp in Cedar City, Utah for a few years and stopped the year we had Nathan. He loved it.
He often wakes up in the middle of the night to check if the blanket is still on Mary so she's not cold.
He likes to watch old movies with me, like John Wayne, anything about World War II, and others.
He seems to love me even when I look gross.
He loves BYU football and basketball.
He is also a die-hard Nebraska fan.
He is the most amazing man in the world to me. He is honestly the kindest man I have ever known. (in public and in private)
Matthew never cares about receiving credit or what others think or if they praise him. I admire that about him so much.
There are things too numerous to list of all the ways he has served me in the last five years.
He deserves to be recognized for his kind heart and genuine goodness. He quietly serves and gets overlooked much too often because he's completely content that way! I'm so grateful he is my husband and I just wanted to recognize him, publicly, this once for all he's done.
Thank you Matthew!!! I love you.
This week is his birthday and I'm going to kiss him 29 times. Probably.

Very sweet Becky.
But only a "probably" for the 29 kisses??? Come on - I dare ya! :)
I still don't know Matthew very well, but I do know that if he's married to you then he's got to be pretty amazing.
Why on earth would you kiss him 29 times? Oh, because he's turning 29. I get it. I will give you $0.29 if you do that. You can count out the money from my piggy bank yourself, but not without me watching. I don't know if I trust you. You'll probably take an extra penny or two. You are sneaky like that.
Happy Birthday Foo...if you ever read this. Even though I called you Saint Matthew sarcastically when you were a kid, it seems to have come true. You really are the sweetest brother ever. Can you stand all this sappiness??! Becky, thanks for being so good to him. Love you both. -Mari
