Make-up class

This morning James was crying and I asked him what was wrong.  The twins were sitting at the counter eating breakfast.  James said:  "John hit."
I looked at John.  "Did you hit James?"  I asked him.
John smiled, so sweetly, and so happily.  "I hit."

(He did say sorry after I made him).

As I was changing John this morning, I saw the writing pad toy, where you can erase it with swiping it across?  I can't remember what it's called, but it said:  Eli you can crol.  (crawl).

Just the other night Matthew promised Nathan and Mary that whoever found John's blanket could have a treat or prize.  We had looked all over and couldn't find it.  Mary and Nathan were looking one time and after Nathan had told Mary something, Mary came to me a little sad.  "Mom,"  she said, "Is it true that if Nathan finds the blanket he gets a treat, and if I find the blanket, Nathan still gets the treat?"

I assured her that wasn't true.

Mary missed a gymnastics class in January due to the holidays (we pay ahead of time) and you are allowed a makeup class sometime in the week that's not your regular time.  We were getting Mary ready and she asked me:  Mom, do I have to wear make-up to this class?"  I told her she didn't and I was trying to figure out what she meant.  After a little bit or so, she said acting confused, "Then why is it called a makeup class?"

That is so cute. I remember a couple of years ago laughing when a second grader realized that he didn't have to actually put on makeup for his make up work. Your kids say the cutest things.
